Terms of Service

Last updated: May 6, 2026.

By using NetChecks — running a DNS lookup, opening the subnet calculator, copying a WHOIS output — you accept these terms. They are written specifically for a diagnostic utility hosted as a static export: there is no application server to ban you from, no account to terminate, just a small contract describing what the tools are for and what they are not.

Diagnostic-only use

The tools are intended for general-purpose diagnostics, learning, and incident triage. They are not intended to support security audits, regulatory compliance evidence, court submissions, or critical infrastructure decisions. A “port checker” that runs in a browser sandbox is a reachability probe, not an authoritative port scan; a DNS lookup over DoH may differ from your operating system’s stub resolver result; a WHOIS record cached upstream may lag the registry of record. Confirm critical findings against the authoritative source before acting on them.

Acceptable use

Disclaimer of warranties

NetChecks is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranty of any kind. Upstream APIs may throttle, return errors, or change their response shape; the publisher does not warrant continuous availability, accuracy of any individual lookup, or fitness for a specific compliance or security purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of NetChecks. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.

Advertising

NetChecks is supported by display advertising through Google AdSense. Ad content is determined programmatically by Google and its partners; the publisher does not vet or endorse individual advertisers.
